Change Log - June 2022

Greetings Researchers! It's been some time, but the wait is over! Get ready to return to a newly refurbished and refined experience at Nylic as you interact with these changes!

Gameplay Overhaul

A major change to how the game functions has been implemented. Researchers now must manage a series of stats for each Kin, which raise their Affinity. As Affinity goes up, your Reputation will increase and new scenes will be unlocked. This includes Kin Milestones.

Alek the Lion and his Pack

Those with an interest in strong felines should be excited to know that Alek the Lion and his Pack have been added to the game! As you engage with the burly lion and his 3 enthusiastic ladies, expect mayhem from all 4 as you learn about why their dated culture brought them to Nylic for a solution. Vallory the Succubus

New GUI

Mobile players rejoice! The techs at Nylic have been at work, redesigning the interface for a sleek, refined look. The settings interface for Kin now having larger buttons and a more easily manageable layout, making adjusting their rooms a breeze.

RES (Random Event System)

Hope you like surprises! Our new RES system will have Kin approaching you spontaneously throughout the day with small questions and requests. What new and interesting facts will you learn? (Note: Not all Kin are fully integrated with the system, but will be included in future updates.)

Weekend Content Placeholder

No content as of yet for this feature, but hopefully the anticipation is well received! With this, weekend content will be able to be added in the future, allowing you to interact with Kin off of work hours!

New Progression System

Some of the Kin seemed to get their thoughts and memories mixed up, informing the player of momentous decisions they already learned, or simply coming across confusing. The new system should have all of the kin dialogue play out smoothly.

Notifications 

Tired of wondering whether or not your Kin had more to say? No longer! Now whenever a Kin has more conversations or a Milestone event waiting, a corresponding symbol will appear in their room.

Different Music

Hope your ears have room for more, because new music has been added to the game! Expect your Kin to have new tracks playing when you enter their rooms. Eventually the option to adjust the songs yourself will be implemented, but for now the placeholder code is all that is present.

Flare now has more to say through the RES. Keep an eye out to learn more about your fiery fox colleague.

Karla's indecisive diet was confusing in the past. She's now made up her mind and is being more concise about what she wants. 

The Scene Gallery is in production. The Placeholder Code is in game, and in future updates will start to be filled. 

RAID: Kills Bugs Dead

The amount of bugs that have been crushed for this update goes beyond counting. Thankfully, many researchers can now rejoice that their existence will no longer end upon going past days 12 - 15. They may also finally earn that next promotion.
